Albanian Update from Katie Hawkins:

PRAISES:

  • 9 people accepted Christ at a community Christmas service
  • New curiosity among women attending a Bible Study started by Dawn.
  • Teens are coming regularly to the teen group meeting.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
  • New believers to grow in their faith and knowledge and be bold witnesses.
  • Pray for Anisa. Though she recommitted her life, she still struggles with giving all of her problems over to the Lord and fully trusting Him.
  • Pray for Nicole who is having problem with her feet.
  • Pray for language- understanding and patience as I begin studying Albanian grammar.
  • Pray for God's guidance in creative projects to help the kids focus on Jesus as I begin teaching at Burime (an afterschool program for kids).

A note from Amber:

As you notice, this letter only contains updates from three of our missionaries.

The latest news from Curtis, Adam & Krista, and Jeff & Gelya will be coming soon. I hope two installments a month will help you focus your prayers, read the entire newsletter, and pray throughout the month!

Praying with you,
Rev. Amber Coulter

Prayer changes things, but more importantly prayer changes PEOPLE. Allow yourself to be one of the ones changed by prayer's power as you lift up the details shared in this newsletter from our missionaries around the globe. Remember to post this information in your church so others can be be changed too! But please do not post any of this information on your church website or Facebook page.

Following the Davis' on Home Ministry

Thank you for praying for our family. Here's our monthly report on what we've been doing, during our time on home ministries.

Since returning to the States last June, we've visited 26 churches and spoken with many people about our work in Belgium. In February, I'll be attending the Ministers and Mates Conference in California to meet with pastors. We are very grateful to Dr. Stephen Babby, district superintendent of the Pacific Southwest District, for making this possible.

I have also been working very hard writing a paper that will be published in a book about influential postmodern philosophers. The article has been accepted, and I will doing a final edit sometime next month. We believe that God is calling us to help pastors and church leaders all over the world to understand and come to grips with our changing postmodern culture, and we're happy to see that the academic side of our work continues to prosper.

Please pray that our Faith Promise gap will begin to close. We have seen God do marvelous things during our 14 years of missionary service, so we have confidence that the One who calls provides. And we need God to do that again! We currently need to raise $38,881 in additional Faith Promise.

Thank you for praying for Matthew. He is doing much better, although the muscles around his stomach still cramp occasionally. We still don't know what the source of his problems is, but he's able to go to school again.

Warmly,
Phil (and Becky)

Planning for Home Ministry with Angie Hemric

These are some tentative dates that I am setting as an Itinerary.  Please give me feedback on speaking dates in your churches or groups.  We can talk travel arrangements, housing and all of those details in one on one emails.  I have already given a church in High Point NC the choice of March 25th or April 1st for a speaking engagement.  Those of you in Texas and Connecticut are not necessarily church speaking, but small group sharing, one on one coffee talks...etc.

March 9-15th - Florida

March 15th - 21st  - Texas

 March 22nd - April 15th - North Carolina

April 8th being Easter and with my home church as participant.

April 16th - 23rd   - NYC/Connecticut

April 24th - Back in NC  Final speaking Sunday as 29th

Return to Guyana in early May.

Thank you for keeping me going in Guyana.  I look forward to enjoying some refreshing time together when I am home!

Surrendered to Him,

Angie

Angie has also proposed scheduling a family day at the zoo on Saturday April 14 or May 5. You can send her an email to vote for the day that would work for your family to have some zoo fun or to get your church scheduled by sending her an email at:
